Description: How to create or change an announcement in the PBX
Required Information: What the announcement should say, where the customer would like the announcement played, and what the destination after the announcement should be
Action Taken:
- You will need to create a recording under System Prompts. Go to the Vow Dashboard and select System Prompts. Next, click on Greetings and add new recording
- Create a recording name and press save. It will ask “Add Recording Audio”, press Yes, Now. Here you will have the option to upload a recording file, record from phone, or do a text to speech recording. Create a prompt and hit save. Once its loaded, note the number next to the microphone as seen in the image above.
3. Login to the PBX and go to Admin, then select System Recording. Select Built in Recordings at the top right if you would like to add a recording from the System prompts or click Add Recording to upload a file.
4. From the drop down, type in the number next to the system prompt we created (Can get this number off of the dashboard). Select it and press go. This will allow you to change the name of the announcement.(no spaces allowed). Click save.
- Once an announcement is created, go to applications and click on announcements. Click the add announcement in the top right corner. Create a description name, and under recording select the newly created announcement. Add the destination after playback to the desired location once the announcement has been played.
- Now that the announcement has been created, we can add it to the desired location whether it be the IVR Menu announcement, or a transfer destination.Resolution or “Confirm it works”: Once finished, you can call into the ivr or announcement directly using the support tab in the PBX or the pharmacy can call into the ivr and select the option with the added announcement.
Escalation Information Needed: If the announcement is not found in the dashboard causing the announcement to not play, then will need to escalate to T2.
